| MEETING ROOM POLICY |

The Meeting Room of the Hamilton Township Library is available for
non-profit organizations located within Hamilton Township to hold meetings
of an educational, cultural or civic nature.
Non-partisan organizations which do not endorse individual candidates
may hold meetings to discuss current issues providing all candidates for the
same office are invited. The
room may not be used for religious services, or purely social, individual,
commercial or political meetings. RESERVATIONS
All applications for the use of the Meeting Room are to be submitted
to the Library Director at least three weeks in advance on forms secured at
the Library. Replies will be
mailed to the applicant. Applications will be considered in order of receipt, with
library sponsored activities taking priority over other meetings.
Notification of cancellation of a meeting should be made to the
Director at least 48 hours in advance of the scheduled meeting. SERVICE
CHARGE
There will be no charge for use of the Meeting Room; however, due to
the ever increasing cost of heating, cooling, lighting and cleaning our
Meeting Room, we would be grateful for any contribution your organization
can make. Checks should be made
payable to the Hamilton Township Library. REGULATIONS 1.
All meetings will be open to the public. 2.
No admission fee may be charged. 3.
No printed material of any kind may be distributed on Library
property without approval of the Library Director. 4.
No materials may be exhibited in such a way that they will deface
Library property. 5.
Meetings must be held only during Library hours, 9:00 A.M. - 8:30
P.M., Monday through Thursday; 9 A.M. - 5 P.M., Friday, unless prior
permission is obtained. 6.
Smoking is not permitted in the Library building. 7.
No alcoholic beverages are allowed on the premises. 8.
Library telephones are not for public use; Public telephones are
available on both levels of the Library. 9.
Refreshments may be served if permission is granted in advance.
The meeting group is required to provide food, dishes, equipment and
clean-up. 10.
Organizations showing media should provide their own equipment.
Some equipment is available through the Library on prior request.
Groups using Library equipment are responsible for its operation, and
for any damage to equipment. 11.
Any group using the room will be responsible for leaving it good
order. 12.
The Library assumes no responsibility for loss or damage to any
property of a group, or injury to members of a group, which occurs during
the use of the Meeting Room. 13.
The Library reserves the right to refuse future use of the Meeting
Room by a group to any group or individual member violating the above
regulations. 14.
The Board of Trustees reserves the right to amend these regulations
and to limit the number and frequency of public meetings. |
